Cannonau, the name for Grenache in the Sardegnian dialect, can show characteristics from all parts of the grape’s spectrum. This is the soft and juicy style. The fruit is ripe, but it maintains a darkness that pairs with the savory side. Black cherries, figs, roasted meats and herbs are softened by more modern oak barrique aging.
